Cancellation
We require a minimum of 24 hours notice of any cancellation or changes to appointment times regardless of reason to avoid charging for the session. To make these changes, contact our Massage Director Rain Weingarten directly by phone, text or email. You cannot assume the receipt of any such message unless you receive a confirmation from Rain as soon as she is available to do so. Do not attempt to leave a message with the front desk at the Gym (even if a front desk attendant mistakenly allows you to do so). The front desk can relay Rain’s contact info to you if you do not have it handy but they cannot confirm any changes to your appointment or take a message regarding it.
Arriving Late
Arriving late will cut into your massage time. This includes needing to use the rest room or fill out intake forms before your first session. Leave enough time to arrive before your session is scheduled to begin to take care of these occurrences as well as taking into account possible traffic and parking issues. If you are 15 minutes late and have not contacted the therapist to let them know, it will be counted as a missed session and the 24 hour cancellation policy applies. If you will be 30 minutes late, even with a heads up to the therapist, it is at the therapist’s discretion whether you can receive the remaining time scheduled or if it will be treated as a missed session. Either way the full price of your booked appointment will apply.
Checking In
Your therapist will always meet you at the front desk of the gym. Do not go directly to the treatment room. The therapist may have previously been somewhere else in the gym and be waiting at the front desk for you. If your therapist is not there waiting for you, they will be along shortly. If they do not arrive in a timely manner, the front desk would be happy to call and locate them for you.
Payments and Tipping
Your payment will be made to Gold’s Gym. Your fist session must be paid for at the time of booking, all further sessions can be taken care of at the appointment time. The gym accepts cash, check and most credit cards. If you would like to tip your therapist, it will need to be a separate transaction made directly to the therapist. Tips cannot be given by credit card or added to payments made by check.
Inappropriate Behavior
Inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated from either therapist or massage recipient. This includes sexual or romantic advances, suggestive conversation, overtly personal information or questions, refusing proper draping procedure, and any other behavior that either person requests be discontinued. If a session is ended by the therapist due to a recipient’s inappropriateness, the full amount of the session will still be due and the client will not be accepted for treatment in the future. If the client chooses to end a session because of the therapist’s behavior, please alert a manager and the therapist will be reviewed and dealt with accordingly.
Refunds
Payments for first time clients and gift certificate purchases can be refunded as long as the cancellation policy has not been violated. Payments for sessions received or canceled with less than 24 hours notice will not be refunded. Payments for Last Minute Deals are nonrefundable.
